Meg let me borrow her bike this weekend and today was the perfect opportunity to ride it. I sold my bike in 2009 and have not been on one since. . .it took me a few tries to get on and stay on the bike, looking foolish and wobbly. I forgot how high bike seats are supposed to be in order to ride properly and having my feet unable to touch the ground while seated is unsettling.
Nick was washing the car while I stretched my bike ability. My first destination was a parking lot up the street and then I met Nick at the wash. Lucky for me, I had the perfect afternoon to ride: sunny, cool, Sunday, i.e. Empty Streets. I rode around some industrial streets, never stopping at stop signs or signaling, not wearing a helmet - just having fun.I have been home for half an hour now and am still very happy I got to ride. Nick wishes he had his bike back and will probably try to ride Meg's bike to work this week. . . it is a boy bike.
