The blank page.
Last week was Non-Reading Week.
I am working my way through The Artist's Way and last week was an exercise in less intake. The author explains how less reading paradoxically fills an artist's well of creativity. I did more last week than usual, was hospitable more than usual, was content and had many insights.
One of last week's Non-Reading miracles was having a mid-week sleepover with Jen and going downtown the next morning for an art store grand opening. We got in line around the corner of the store, seeing over 100 people already waiting. "We'll stay because who knows what will happen." We ended up being in line for 40 minutes, received $5 coffee cards and were the 2nd and 3rd last customers to receive the free goodie bags. Thanks, God! Life is syncing up nicely and as my creative blocks dissolve I can be a better light for God. The clay is falling off and my golden core is slowly glowing brighter.
