The Last Five Days:
Thursday was Meg Day. We went to a Title Nine sale at the convention center and each got one thing. It took us about 3 hours, most of which was standing in line watching two women try on three bags of clothes.
That evening she and Eric came over for lasagna. Nick loves having company when lasagna is on the menu.
Friday was Jen for supper. Delicious first squash of the season and we sat at the table. The card table. Guests are so lucky to eat here.
I had some momentum to see Mom and Dad at home. I called Saturday morning and it was a go. We got Jen and made it to their place at the exact time I expected. 2 pm. Spontaneous! Jen and I went with Mom to the fabric store and helped her pick a backing fabric. On a whim I bought 2 fabrics for a Jen present. We came home to read/paint/sew/relax, ate delicious vegan pizzas for supper and closed the night with Clue. Mom won. She would.
Sunday while we watched F1, I said, "Let's work on the table today." We have this huge table and we've been wanting to cut down to make it less cumbersome. So, after small reluctance Nick started working that wood into the perfect place to sit and work - and maybe eat sometimes! We got sawdust all over ourselves and the neighbor's deck. We moved the furniture around and on the new 20" shorter table, I made an apron for Jen. Quick work!
Monday was spent sewing and I love the living room. I also started a 21 Day Mediation. And . . .signed up on Facebook again. My world was feeling small without it. So I opened the door to connecting across the country and world with a few quick clicks.
Nick checking the rooms out before we start. Are there clues already?
"I'm so glad you have tools and know how to use them."
"Former home owner!"
