Thursday and Friday brought girl friend visits. M and S sat with me on our sofa and we talked for hours. Between the two, I talked more than I do most weeks. Friend Time!
Nick and I skyped with N and T for a few minutes.
It is raining and has been all weekend. We opted to stay in yesterday after our morning runs.
Lucky for me I saw cool things on my short route:
A pre-teen boy in slacks/jacket/tie - where is he going? / Beautiful, full trees in yellow, red, orange / My first rat. It crossed right in front of me on the sidewalk. The thrill of seeing my first live, in person rat overshadowed how disgusting they are. It was big and hairy and not as dirty as I expected. RATS!
In spite of rain we drove to the pumpkin farm and bought apples for apple crisp. And 3 tiny pumpkins. Nick made the crisp while I mended my jeans. Oh, jeans. They are at the point of replacing but it takes me 2 years to get them worn in enough to be really comfortable. So, I wear them well beyond reason.
Now, more Cheers. I pushed past my Shelley Long block and am finding the show very funny.
