We celebrated Mom with breakfast at a vegan bakery. It was surprisingly (to me, anyway) delicious. Creamy quiche and moist cinnamon roll. We took a walk in the warm sun and landed in a craft supply store; all of us scored adorable, useful items.
When I got home Nick and I went to four estate sales and I bought 12 books, 2 sofa pillows, and a large beach towel. Now, I am ready to take on the world! After traipsing through dead people's homes, we drove farther into the country to try a new-to-us tavern for burgers. We sat outside and the burgers were delicious. I wanted to go back tonight already.
Sunday brought more sun and warm weather so we drove to Mt St Helens. I drove the entire length up and realized that is the most miles I have driven with Nick as a passenger in years - if ever. He always drives. My self-made affirmation for the day said, "Try something new, anything!" and so I made a snow angel. . .in regular clothes. . .in May. I loved it. The cold felt so good against my skin. I tried to pull Nick down with me but he is too strong.
