3/25/12

We took to the beach on Saturday. It had been almost 3 months and I needed a break from City. When I am out in it, I begin to feel stifled by constant noise and cars and strangers. So we drove to the ocean and I let the wind blow the city off me. The wind was ridiculous. We walked into it, pushing through the whipping air and tears that squeezed out of our eyes as a result. We chewed salt water taffy, yelling back and forth, then being quiet. "What?" "What?" Once we turned around, such relief! We ran with the wind at our backs and Nick said, "We're not even out of breath" upon stopping. Yeah, that's how I always feel when I stop running. Lungs of an Olympian.
