I just burned my belly with a moxa stick! I was given the stick this week by my acupuncturist and used it tonight. My mind wandered while I was waving the stick over my stomach and suddenly, "Ow!" It burned me. Now I see some tiny, white bumps. Next time I will pay attention.

Yesterday Nick and I went to the Salmon Festival again. There were many more fish and they were very lively. We wandered the booths again, eating a delicious chicken/bacon pita and fresh cherry tomatoes. I bought and tried bee pollen for the first time.
It tastes like. . .flowers and dirt. I will put it on my salads.
The highlight of our trip was walking on a path into the woods. The trees are just beginning to turn and the paved path was so smooth. We were trying to get to a tall, wooden bridge and walk across it. The access was blocked by wire fencing - but it was trampled enough for us to simply step over it. I was so happy to reach it and get to walk all over it. . . until I stepped onto it. Initially I felt confident but then the Possibility of Falling set in and I took each step gingerly, saying, "I am safe. I am safe" over and over and over. What joy to turn around after seeing the beauty of the trees. I felt such relief! There is something about Salmon Fest that makes us want to tackle any challenge.

Wow. I definately would not have been able to cross that bridge. You are brave.
