I went to a knitting group yesterday. It was at our neighborhood library and the women hosting said, "Oh, someone came!" It was evident they were prepared for an empty room if it happened that no one came. By the end of class there were seven visitors - a range of expertise from beginner to master knitter. I am working on my first pattern design - a poncho. My goal is to finish by Thanksgiving. . .
We don't need to get groceries this week. It is a good feeling, knowing we are well prepared and well fed. Last night we went to Grandma's for DWTS for the first time in weeks. I ate too much sugar and came away smelling like smoke. Each time I go to Grandma's I think, "What can I wear that is already 'dirty' and will need to be washed? I will also need to wash my hair, so I will plan on a good sweat while working out. I better eat healthy all day because I know my habits at her house. . .." and on and on. I go through the same thought process before going to houses with shedding pets or messy, tiny kids. Good grief!
I love a clean, neutral home.
