Absence Makes the Heart

It snowed for the first time today.
Big flakes; fast flakes.
I looked out the window and exclaimed,
"Nick, it's snowing!"
We pulled the shade up for an even better view
and then went out to be in it.
By the time our errands were run, it was slushy and slippery.
Now, I want to watch a movie and drink warmth.
Ah, snow.
