I dissolved Lux today. I canceled my tax permit, closed my salon license, started taking apart the room. We said our 'good-byes' at church yesterday. Everyone took a cupcake as they left,
"We will miss you!" was tossed about every few seconds and I accepted it. We had lunch guests (some favorites from church) and everything felt good.
Closing our lives here has been easy and smooth.Other things we have done for the last time:
Dairy Queen
(the local store closes Aug 31 every year)
The Mall
(no big deal - there isn't much - but we used to wander around)
Wal-Mart
(we don't shop there, but it was an evening out sometimes, seeing what is new, what our neighbors might see when they shop) I never went to the local water park - neither did Nick -
but aside from that, we have done 90% of the 100 Things To Do in Town list that every newcomer gets. We've taken full advantage of this little city.
Now, we wind down our work and start packing.
