July Means...

Movies
Nick and I went to a movie on July 4th and were so early
that we took pictures to pass the time.
When a young man came in while we were
clicking away I politely asked,
"Do you want to be in the picture?!"
"No," he smiled.Bugs
These little gnats and mosquitoes are the
reason we stayed inside on the anniversary
of America's celebrated independence.
Boo hiss.
But not itchy!
The good bugs that we have just begun hearing
are cicadas.
These ones I like.Hot Air Balloons
Nick and I awoke last Saturday to
the sound of Kasshsshhwwwsshh
which is the hot air balloon fire getting
pumped into the balloon.
It is so exciting!
Nick ran out with the camera to catch
the pretty, floating carriers as they passed
by our house.Sun Burns
I have no pictures of my Worst Burn
in Several Years, but it is just now feeling
less tender. I was reading on the deck
in the middle of the day, wanting some sun.
Not this much!
But now I have a good base for a tan.
And it was a good reason not to wear a bra
for a few days.
