Tuesday was for crowds, clapping and cheering.
I had the privilege of seeing and supporting Elizabeth Berg at her first Book Vault appearance.
After listening to her read, I drove home, called Nick to see how much we wanted to go to Des Moines and we decided after several short discussions: We will go!
Obama was in Iowa again and after entering and quickly exiting a bistro on Grand (it smelled like tuna), we got in line, the long line, and waited.
Moving at a good pace, we got into the event gates by 8pm and after passing strict security checks, we ate a hot dog (me) and brisket sandwich (Nick).Surrounded by young and old, we waited, mostly quietly, for an hour and Obama was introduced to a loud cheer and clapping. I did both. Woooaahh! As his speech was winding down (we know his routines) we backed out of the crowd and were among the first to leave as he said "good-bye." We are awesome.I also got and watched a copy of my very edited interview that took place before my reading May 1st. After listening and watching Elizabeth and Obama and myself, I have much work to do in order to be comfortable and fluid as they are. I don't want to end my phrases with a question mark...?

Nette!
I love your pictures and the word pictures from this post. You and Nick are AWESOME! I like the note that Phil was dressed in Pink!
I really like the way you write.

Nette,
Just out of curiosity, what is it that you like about Obama? I'm not so sure about him myself.
Sarah
Well, Sarah (and anyone else wondering)
I like Obama because I genuinely believe in his desire to "change" America. He believes in Trust and Hope and using Americans to help aid in making this country more effective and positive.
Plus, when I shook his hand he looked me straight in the eye and paused.
He is authentic and looking to care for all people w/o the political baggage that I think both Clinton and McCain have.
Thank you for asking, Sarah. I like talking about this election.
Nette
