Shovel Wielding Nette

Today we got our first hefty, pretty snow. It snowed from 11am to 5pm and we got about 4 inches. I have not had any clients for three weeks and while that is fine, there may come a day between now and March when someone will want my services. So, at 5:30, I went to the garage, got the shovel off of its hook for the first time this winter and went to work. I took my time, being very deliberate, making straight lines. I cleared the path that wraps around our house and clients are now welcome to call.

The driveway was next and what a job! I was done in an hour and quite sweaty. But it was so quiet and beautiful, I reveled in the first shovel job and am a little bit sad that it will probably be my last solo act. When Nick is shoveling, I get too conscious of my pattern and form, thinking he would rather do it himself. Tomorrow when he comes home (!!!) I will be proud to say, "I shoveled!" It looks great.
You do.
