Young Christmas: Illinois

 Shoot some guns.
Darin, Nick and I shot target after target with pistols and rifles. Three hours of shooting was well worth the numb toes and runny nose.
Nick gets his brother/dad time on the farm.
We end up in DM, playing with the boys and ringing in the new year family style. Korbin stayed up the whole time like it was any other evening. Lego city!

The trip:
We arrived in Erie at 4am, greeted by Mom and Dad. Huggy hugs. It is good to be home.
Theresa, Mom, Nick and I go to the movies. Les Miserable for us, Hobbit for Nick. Afterwards, Manny's pizza. Yes! We have managed to eat there each visit.
Shoot with Darin. Nick and Erin come over for supper and games. Logo is boring and hard! Theresa made me laugh and laugh so hard. "If she doesn't stop laughing, I'm going to slap her in the face."
T and I go to Pink Pony (my first time) and get salads before heading to the cities for Sister Spa time. Erin drove and we all got some much-needed time alone with each other. Nick and I head back to the cities to visit the Jacob family.
Going with the flow, making no plans and no expectations made for the best visit we've ever had. We visit Grandma at the hospital home (our first time) and talk to her. She was chatty and still quite strong. Jumers with N and T. Gambling time! Nick and I won money. . .and lost money.

I took very few pictures, choosing instead to experience the family and live the holiday.
On our way to DM, we stopped in IA City to eat at HuHot, get Caribou Coffee and then really made an excursion to Pella for Dutch Letters. We get what we want! Which is food, I guess.
The ride back is long and all I can think is, "My own shower and laundry and bed!"

Happy New Year, Me.
