Memorial Weekend:
Nick and I went to a wine-tasting on Thursday and tried 5 different kinds of wine. We both liked the rosé and learned we do not like the smell of oak barrel wine.
On Mother's Day weekend, Nick was talking to his mom and she asked about our county fair. We looked at each other and thought, "I don't think there is one..." So, I looked it up and we do! Saturday was Fair Day. We saw a few animals, lots of mediocre entries of jam, plants, photos and went on a roller coaster. And I got my corn dog.

Sunday we thought about hiking and instead went to the grocery store to take advantage of their buy 2, get 3 sodas. Then, we drove North and toured a Fort. I never thought we would ever visit it and Nick didn't even know it existed. Lucky us! I got my National Historic Site stamp and we went to all of the buildings, asking questions and reading each information post.
Nick and I break the rules and go behind the rope!

Monday was the chillest day; we did nothing until the evening when we walked to a nearby parking garage to throw around a Frisbee. It was cool until twenty minutes in a chubby security guard walked over and told us to leave. We were anyway.
This holiday especially was one we wished we were around family and fire and nature.
