Thanksgiving is upon us and I am thankful for that. I have tried (successfully) to wait for Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Usually I start putting on Christmas cds in October and get more and more saturated with it after Halloween. This year I am letting each holiday be its own special day.

Today marks the first day of my 21-day Consciousness Cleanse and my day has been so quiet and productive in subtle ways. Starting my morning with writing and introspection sets a tone for peace and it is encouraging and unnerving. I am used to tv or music or podcasts on all the time. I do not allow much silence into my life and that is changing.
