Beachy days = glorious, relaxing breathing and laughter and delight. I know now that what I love about family visits is the variety of minds and the life that kids bring into a house. When Nick and I were eating alone last night after returning from the beach, I said, "I miss having a group of people around me." What I really love is being surrounded by loved ones with space to be alone too...a deck, a bedroom, a book, headphones. Alone together.I got a "thank you, no" from a job I thought I wanted but as I listen to some inspiring, instructional podcasts, I understand that all of these "nos" are leading me to my dream job. This was not my dream job. "What is?" I ask God and myself. I am open to an answer . . .
