This post wins because it is number 333. Triple favorite!
Nadal won! Nick had to check himself a few times because he kept cheering for Federer. "No, Nick, that was Friday we wanted Federer to win. Now we love Nadal."
I got my first sunburn on Saturday morning while watering tomato plants and wrapping tiny apples in powdery footies. Watering was relaxing and useful; "hosing" apples was disgusting and dull. I do like the first summer glow of red on my skin, though.Jen came over in the afternoon and we quickly sifted through vintage clothing, choosing nothing and moving on to a French cafe. The pistachio cake was as delicious as promised. In the evening we went for burgers with Nick and they were messy and just what we wanted.
This afternoon a college buddy of Nick's came by. He is in Oregon for training and he is so animated and friendly. After they reminisced for an hour or so we used his being here as a reason to visit a restaurant we've been wanting to try. We heard about it from the Travel Channel and we all tried a ball of fire. Yeek. My lips and mouth have never been so hot. But...I ate the whole thing! Overall, the food was just okay but seeing Kevin was a nice break from regular Sunday dulls.
