I learned something new at work today - on the computer - which makes time fly and I get to stand up. Stand up! I had my headphones in and Jimmie Dale and Frank Sinatra singing to me over and over. Everything is better when I create a little private space in the midst of chatter and whining.

After work I had the nice surprise of a friend coming over - for the first time. I like it when people come over for the first time and see what our life is like, the paintings, colors, lack of fancy electronics or painted wall, our kitchen gadgets, refrigerator decorations, etc. Every little thing is new and meaningful ... until the next time they come over. We made a plan for a Saturday Royal Wedding viewing. Glamor and tradition and composure = a perfect excuse to make a trifle.
