3/5/11

I got new shoes today. Red. Leather. Cute. They will take a little working in to be really comfortable but I am so happy to have color on my feet and something besides running shoes.
This week at work I prepped the very last steel company box and started on medical folders. But, I made note of some cool history in my last steel box. . .
►texture of bumps on the back of a typed letter
►a letter from 1955 on blue paper - they used color! - and the words VIA AIR MAIL stamped in the corner. Was there any other way? When did telegrams stop being used? Is land mail different than air mail?
►an address ending in Portland, 10, Oregon - not a full zip code and in backwards order
►the words "per Des Snape" at the bottom of a page - Harry Potter!
►In a medical file, I saw "Married. Happy. Works at zoo." scrawled on a patient information sheet. I like how precise and clean it is. I can imagine the woman.
