Grandma is now 83!
We celebrated her birthday at one of her many favorite restaurants and then watched her open presents. "We don't do presents!" she said. Well, we did. And they were wonderful.
Today, we had a Knutson lunch in the country. To describe it would be to say it was warm and delicious and easy and musical and foggy and welcome. As Nick approached our street he informed Grandma that if there was a prime parking spot she was going to brave the stairs and see where we live. She provided the expected excuses but . . . he got her up here! Easy, so easy.I am happy to have and know my Grandma and thankful she is soft enough to sway. Nick said she was exhilarated after making it back down the stairs and into the car. We knew she would be.
I hope I push past fears of my own to experience bliss and fulfillment this year...this month...this week.
