Christmas Eve . . .
we woke leisurely, ran outside, received another package with adorable drawings on it and chocolate inside, left for our annual christmas eve lunch. we met mom and dad and grandma right on time and, after a quick panic that came from grandma thinking her wedding rings were gone forever, we enjoyed a tasty, chatty lunch. the rings were, as expected, on her bathroom counter where she had taken them off to clean. silly grandma! she was so relieved.
mom brought a new (to all of us) game and three of us played while dad read and napped and grandma puttered, danced to her favorite christmas song and watched the weather. once home again, i made tiny pies for tomorrow's lunch and they smell delicious. now, we sit upstairs on our computers, waiting for mom and dad to come and stay the night. more games? yes! bubbly drinks? yes! outfitting the bed with freshly laundered sheets? yes!
