It is still warm here.

I picked up two books from the library this afternoon. On my way, I watched a man and his dog come toward me, taking up the entire double-wide sidewalk. As I approached, the owner gently, insignificantly tugged on the leash. I did not break stride and almost kick/walked on the dog. But, no contact was made since I maneuver easily and it is no fault of the dog that he was in my way.

Farther along, on the same sidewalk, I narrowly missed a mother pushing a double stroller. Geeks. But, again, not the babies' fault their mother steered poorly.

I live in the most walkable neighborhood in the city and yet I encounter hoggy pedestrians and cars at almost every intersection. So, after a year of walking the same streets, it occurred to me this afternoon, "I live in a (relatively)
big city. There will be cars and cads and it is fine. Just keep walking."
