Nick and I had a weekend of softball, fireworks, rain, tennis, old cars, family, and fish.The traditional Young gathering was missing this 4th but I didn't miss it. Friday night was tacos in the park while we waited for our first fireworks display. Watching kids roll down hills and teens roam in packs really makes me happy.Saturday evening brought cool air and lots of extended family. We talked about our September move while cousins fished and aunts shared stories.
I played bean bag toss! We saw two more fireworks displays as the fire burned and everyone put on jackets. A chilly 4th is the best 4th!Sunday was "Fix up and Take Pictures of the Monte" day. Nick is selling his old Monte Carlo... it took 10 years to get it out of the barn and prepare to separate. He loved that car!
