Taking After Sarah

about Nick - my husband.
(he just turned 31 yesterday)
1. His big, blue eyes and deep dimples.
They were the first things I noticed
when we met four-ish years ago.
2. His love for God.
3. His love for family.
4. He gets my jokes.
5. Sometimes he doesn't get my jokes
and wonders what happened.
6. He fixes our car.
7. He tells me what he's doing as he
works on the car.
8. He disc golfs and thinks
it is cool.
9. He takes me disc golfing
and says nice things about
my wimpy throws.
10. He entertains kids very well.
11. He adapts to strange places well.
12. He picks at his callused feet.
(I know I am a pedicurist.
He would pick anyway.)
13. He waxes my armpits
with a gentle touch.
14. He is calm in the face of
teenage mouthiness.
15. Oh, does he grill well!
16. Actually, cooking in general is
very natural for him.
17. He listens to music I like and
starts to like it too.
18. He was a very cute baby and boy.
19. He wants a tiny baby...someday.
20. He is thorough and precise -
ex. pulling weeds and getting all of them
or washing the car and waxing it and
spraying inside the hood as well.
20. He does not wipe down kitchen counters.
21. He loves waffles.
22. He is satisfied with cereal.
23. He supports my work - whatever it is.
24. He plans things and I enjoy them.
25. He plays games.

26. He is moved to small tears easily.
27. He gets hot when he sleeps.
28. He keeps up on news but doesn't
feel the need to share it all with me.
29. He learns with me - how to speak impeccably,
attract people we connect with,
how to serve God more effectively.
30. His strong, clear singing voice.
31. He is faithful and sincere.
